“Justice Isn’t What I Do — It’s What I Owe”

Posted by Travis E. Tapps

People ask why I care so much.
Why I fight so hard. Why I burn bridges just to watch the crooked ones fall.

The truth?

I owe it.

To my brother.
To the kid who didn’t get a lawyer.
To the officer who did the right thing and got reassigned.
To the families who show up to court only to find out “it’s been continued again.”

I don’t want a legacy.
I want peace for people who never got a chance to even ask for it.
