“We See Her”

Posted by Travis E. Tapps

She moves like smoke between the cracks in the system.

Smiles for the camera.
Disappears behind sealed doors.
Her hands touch things they shouldn’t — cases, witnesses, files.

You know the type.
They believe the rules were made for other people.
They whisper "I’m too smart to get caught."

But here’s the thing.

We see her.

Not just the card.
Not just the job title.

We see who she is when the paperwork is sealed and no one's watching.

She’s been marked.
Not for vengeance.
