Organized crime used to mean gangs, guns, and cash. Now it looks like delayed paperwork, denied warrants, and internal transfers right before testimony is due.

They don’t need hitmen anymore. They have clerks.

And every time I ask “why was this held up?” I’m told “process.”

Here’s my reply:
If process becomes a shield for predators, then I’ll become the sword it forgot.
